Two South Shore Arts announcements

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT:What: South Shore Arts Council an Open House and General Meeting
Date: Tuesday, May 4, 2010
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Ruskin Women’s Club - West side of US 41 just north of College Avenue (SR 674), across from Grannie’s restaurant.

The meeting, the first since the election of a new president and board members, will consist of general reports on matters of interest, such as progress on a late spring program featuring drama, dance, music, and other arts; the Big Draw 2010, grants applications, and other organizational matters.

Refreshments will be served.

All are welcome, especially those who might be interested in joining our efforts to bring a variety of arts and arts education to the South Shore community

What: Opening Reception For "Outsider Art"
Date: Thursday May 7
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Community Room of the SouthShore Regional Library

Info: 273-3652, ask for SouthShore Library Reference Desk. Come see and celebrate the first ever Opening Reception for "Outsider Art," works by Pam Tipton of SCC and Michael Manghise of Kings Point. Their approach to painting is innovative, colorful and unusual. Meet the artists and hear live jazz by Gary Tatlock's group, "Cloud Seven."
